Question

This could be one for the experts during our March meeting... but I would also take any information now.

My question is - How do you back up your images ...specifically your photoshop documents that you would like to preserve forever?  cd's, dvd's, hard drive, outside source like filedropper or dropbox?  Let me know.

Thanks,  Jamie

  1. Jamie-- What a great question! This would make an excellent topic for discussion at the next meeting. I suspect that we would get the same kind of variation among the members as we had with the photographing of the Pettibone Gazebo. The short version of my system is that I use an external drive for storing all of my images. The system is a Drobo which contains a mirror image of the drive. In addition I back up the Drobo with another Drobo. Finally, I have backed up the entire collection on yet another hard drive that I plan to store in my safty deposit box. I realize that this is overkill, but I would be devastated to lose my images. Jamie, as a start I recommend that you check out www.drobo.com.
